The Corner

Knock, Knock

Do any of our legal eagles have a problem with yesterday’s Scotus decision?  Personally, I think knocking is nice and should be done where appropriate. But if the police have a warrant, why should people have a constitutional right to hearing a knock? Listening to NPR this morning Nina Totenberg made it sound like the jackbooted sensible-shoe-wearing thugs of the police state were on the verge of having the right to break into your house and charge whatever they wanted on your pay-per-view without asking. Are the conservatives on the court really poised to throw out the exclusionary rule  and warrants entirely? I find that hard to believe.
