“Kerry has indeed come on in Iowa. But only Zogby (whose polling
methods have been routinely criticized and picked apart) is showing Kerry
with a lead. Other polls still show Dean with a lead (albeit small). And
many have commented on how difficult the Iowa race will be to predict.
Also, Kerry still trails considerably in NH which he was expected to win easily. Perhaps he gets a bounce if he wins Iowa but NH knows him so its not like them flocking to a newcomer.
Finally, Kerry has little or no support in the South meaning potential Iowa and NH wins may not carry forward.
In sum, let’s wait until he actually wins something before crowning him the comeback kid.”
