I have zero insight into the Democratic thinking about Kamala’s VP pick beyond what I read. But it seems obvious to me (and a lot of other Republicans I talk to) that she should pick Shapiro: Every swing state is important, but she absolutely has to have Pennsylvania; he has some executive experience; he’s popular; he has some talent; and compared to a couple of the other possibilities, he’s relatively moderate. If Shapiro helps by, say, 20,000 votes in the Keystone State, that could be meaningful.
