I would like to add that I WILL be jumping for joy if the story is shown to be falsified – because that’s the best possible outcome. The others are either (1.) he did these awful things alone – which should certainly result in a court-martial – or (2.) these events are shown to be more or less accepted behavior over there. Obviously, the latter would be a complete disaster, and even the former would be a stain for the entire military, that he only got busted for this bizarre activity after he publicly wrote about them.
I agree with your points on TNR – it isn’t like bringing down a lying “objective” news source like Rather. They’re liberal, honest, and honorable, as nearly as I’ve ever seen (from my limited perspective). I REALLY want to see this all straightened out as soon as possible.
