The Corner

John Murtha, R-Pennsylvania

So there’s a pretty good story on the front page of the Washington Post  by Robert O’Harrow Jr. today about Concurrent Technologies (The WSJ wrote another good story about Concurrent on Tuesday). Concurrent Technologies is a bizarre company in Pennsylvania’s rust belt that seems to exist for no other reason than to benefit from mindbending levels of graft — last year’s was revenue $248 million — courtesy the company’s local congressmen John Murtha.

But one not-so-minor nitpick. Not that it’s the reporter’s fault, but in the huge graphic that accompanies the Post story (not online), Murtha is identified as “(R-Penn).” Republicans have enough problems without being blamed for Murtha’s obscene corruption.

And while I’m at on that subject, Investor’s Business Daily has a great editorial today about Harvard’s latest tell-me-what-don’t-know study on media bias.
