The President, His Pastor, and ‘Them Jews’

Stanley, funny you should mention Jeremiah Wright — I was thinking of him, just yesterday. In 2009, a reporter asked him whether he had spoken to the president — whose pastor he had been for 20 years. “Them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me,” said Wright.

Who were them Jews? Presidential chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, presumably, and assorted other ObamaWorld Hebrews.

Wright continued, “I told my baby daughter that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office.”

I was thinking, just yesterday: Are Obama and Wright talking yet? In light of the Iran deal, and opposition to it, and Obama’s treatment of the opposition, I don’t think them Jews, whoever they were, are constraining him, if they ever were.
