Index of Corruption

The nations of the world, ranked by perceived level of corruption.

USA is tied with Ireland and Belgium at No. 17. China ties with Saudi

Arabia and Syria at No. 71. Up at the top: all those dull, righteous

Scandinavians.

(I haven’t looked into the methodology here, so I don’t know how much this

is worth. It agrees pretty well with the few data points at which I have

some experience, though. And Passau is a very pretty town — hard to

believe anything bogus could come out of it…)
