Romney is trying to distinguish himself from Giuliani — he wants to cut off federal funding for so-called “sanctuary cities,” and he contends that Giuliani is weak on immigration. Giuliani defends himself over New York’s sanctuary policy for illegal aliens, saying that he needed everyone to call the police to report crimes, without fear of deportation. Whether it’s guns or illegal immigration, for Giuliani, it all comes back to crime.
I do wish that Chris Wallace would at least call them “illegal immigrants” instead of just “illegals.” This isn’t the Lou Dobbs show.
