So I’m strolling around the Media Matters NetLoungeTM at the Take Back America conference, when who do I see? Jesse Jackson in repose, holding court before a number of reporters, looking all too comfortable in his element and wearing his customary black pajamas that coolly bridge the sartorial divide between Ho Chi Minh and Hugh Hefner. Obviously, I was not invited to this particular scrum, so I tried to slink up gracefully and overhear what’s going on.
At which point a nearby gatekeeper leaned in and took a close inspection of my press credentials, which clearly read “NATIONAL REVIEW.” They immediately scowled at me. I guess that’s a badge of honor… National Review: Not approved of by Jesse Jackson.
