On the homepage today, we have the last part in our series on Tom Cotton, the amazing young Arkansan running for Congress. A reader writes,

In reading about Tom Cotton, it occurs to me that the future is bright. When looking at our up-and-comers, I see Cottons and Rubios and Cruzes and Ayottes and . . . a lot of women and men of clear mind and purpose.
I would have to look a little harder to be sure, but I don’t see the promise on the other side. A Debbie Whatshername Schultz will not hold up for the long run, in my opinion. I am sure there are some who will, so a conservative future will not be automatic or easy, but we have the horses, so to speak. I’ve taken up knife-making as a hobby so we’ll have the bayonets too.
