‘Horse, Not Zebra’

After that, I talked to Andy Kaplan, a cardiac electrophysiologist, and Stephen Pirris, a neurosurgeon, to find out more about what happened to Damar Hamlin during Monday’s Bills-Bengals game; to get solid definitions of “cardiac arrest,” “heart attack,” “AED,” “commotio cordis,” and other terms; and to ask what, if anything, the NFL can do to prevent it from happening again.
