Truth is more like: I liked the movie , I think it was an important wartime cultural contribution (others, good friends disagree). I always knew the day would come when Oliver Stone or Nicolas Cage or someone would say something…totally expected. I’m just surprised it took this long.
Why are people (media) acting like Mel Gibson criticizing the Iraq war is news ? He did it pre-arrest, he did it post. If media folks weren’t who they were politically, they’d note the real news is that rehab worked — he’s not blaming the “neocons” for the war.
