Hillary’s Tears

What a reflection of our short-attention-span culture there is in this Washington Post write-up

It was an uncharacteristic display of emotion for Clinton, who is usually collected and reserved in public.

Remember the primary moment (Maureen Dowd: “Can Hillary Clinton Cry Her Way Back to the White House?”). Remember Tammy Wynette

Yes, I know they are writing in the context of her tenure as secretary of state, but it’s also not quite reflective of her entire public career. And I did not have to go back to her Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Awards high-school days to find it — or leak a surreptitiously taped private fundraising event to know it.
