On Hillary and Apprenticeship, Bipartisan Alabamians Led the Way

Reihan Salam has an important piece about Mrs. Clinton’s embrace of a bill by senators Tim Scott (R., S.C) and Cory Booker (D., N.J.) establishing tax credits for business-apprenticeship programs. I just write to note that on the House side, an almost identical bill has been written and promoted not just in this Congress but in the last one, too, by neighboring Alabama Members of Congress, namely black Democrat Terri Sewell and white Republican Bradley Byrne.

It’s a good, bipartisan initiative. It can unite labor and management. And it’s exactly the sort of thing that Republican presidential candidates should be touting.
