Last time round, John Edwards spent the early races coming in as a strong runner-up but never quite strong enough to win anything. There’s something very boringly predictable about him doing exactly the same four years later. So what matters on the Dem side is the margin of Obama’s victory. Hillary has the money to stay in to the bitter end but what happened to the much vaunted Clinton machine? If it can’t reliably deliver voters in Iowa, it certainly won’t in New Hampshire. Where’s the movement going to be over the next five days? It’ll be NH Edwards voters crossing to Obama and Clinton voters crossing to Obama.
