I was just now editing a piece in which the name of prominent Latvian symphony conductor Mariss Jansons came up, and I was prompted to ask how one would acknowledge a radio message from him.
“Roger, Mariss!”
The lowest form, I know, but I take comfort from the fact that Shakespeare loved it too . . .
