This is what I hear about Republican internal polls, which aren’t radically different from the public results. Allen’s have him up about 3.5%, better than last week. Talent’s have him even to slightly ahead. Corker’s have him bouncing around. He was 2-4 points behind Ford until last Thursday, then he bumped up to a 5-6 point lead, now he’s back to even. Conrad Burns has closed to within the margin of error (surprising given that Jack Abramoff has a 87% name ID in Montana). And Chafee is still hanging around, trailing Whitehouse by 4 to 5.
