Just following up on Jeff’s post, I’d underline the point that the people who were right there, and not watching a video with a misleading angle on X, Giorgia Meloni and Obama, thought that Biden needed to be directed. Neither of them meant him harm — in fact, they were trying to help. Does any other world leader need these kinds of nudges and cues? Does Biden ever intervene to retrieve some other wandering world leader or official? Did Biden look this way and need this kind of guidance ten, or five, years ago?
