Norm Coleman’s legal team just held a conference call with reporters to announce that they have filed their notice of appeal with the State Supreme Court. Coleman, who trails his opponent Al Franken (D) by over 300 votes in the race for Minnesota’s Senate seat, lost his election challenge last week.
Coleman was widely expected to appeal, so this is not exactly news. But the five-page document, which explains the grounds and standing for appeal, will be available momentarily. Coleman’s team will file their brief later, after the Supreme Court requests it.
