PolitiFact Texas, like other media “fact-checkers,” have been defending Hillary Clinton from the charge that she favors legal abortion throughout pregnancy. They take at face value her claim to favor a ban on abortions very late in pregnancy, even though she insists that ban would have to include an exception for abortions in the name of health–an exception that would make the ban unenforceable. And so the fact-checkers claim that Republicans who see through the ruse are lying.
