Exceptional, But For How Long?

Today on Uncommon Knowledge, American Enterprise Institute fellow Charles Murray unravels what made America unique and what sort of reorientation is needed.

“Why is it that people all over the world look at the United States and said we were different? Well, some aspects were the land of opportunity. You could go to the United States. You could make something of yourself. And your children could live a better life than you did. But another aspect of this exceptionalism was people look at us and see the way that Americans solved problems and helped each other at the local level. And it was very close to unique.”
