Kathryn: Human enterprises have certain commonalities. The Kaiser’s army modeled their transport logistics on P.T. Barnum’s. I suppose there were scoffers on the Kaiser’s general staff — [German accent] “Zis iss an Army, not a circus!” — but as far as I can tell, it worked pretty well. They held off France, Britain and Russia for 4 years, anyway.
