Don’t Let Anyone Tell You Your Vote Doesn’t Matter!

Last night, Donald Trump won the Iowa Republican caucuses with a commanding 51 percent of the vote. Trump prevailed in 98 of Iowa’s 99 counties. The lone exception was Johnson County, which Nikki Haley won . . . by one. Not 1 percent. One vote. The final margin there (the county is a little west of Davenport) is 1,271 Haley to 1,270 Trump.

Don’t let anyone tell you your vote doesn’t matter. A single vote in one county kept Trump from sweeping Iowa, limiting him to 98 counties instead of 99. It really shows what kind of a difference a vote can make.

It remains to be seen what effect this will have on the primary going forward.
