I thought she performed ably yesterday on the shows, particularly given the rough sledding on her prior statements about Trump and on Trump’s non-apology expression of regret. A glaring deficiency of the Trump campaign has been the lack of a serious, credible female surrogate. If you are lagging among women, the last thing you want is Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani as your highest profile supporters in the media. Trump doesn’t have the softening presence of a wife out on the trail with him (not that Melania would help with women: per this Bloomberg poll, women don’t like her and men do – go figure), and Ivanka is busy with other things. This could make Kellyanne even more important as the campaign progresses.
