Donald Trump Is Back on Twitter (Sort Of)

Donald Trump seems to be back on Twitter — at least for the promotion of one video. This morning, his long-dormant account posted this:

Trump has been completely ill-disciplined since the night of his speech at the RNC. If he is going to turn around his bid, he’ll need to do more of this and less of what he has been doing — which is writing stupidly on TruthSocial, rambling at his rallies, and saying inflammatory things during interviews that overshadow the rest of his message.

Naturally, I have absolutely no confidence that Trump can do this. He’s never done it before. Indeed, if he returns to Twitter fully, we’ll likely see him tweeting the same sort of garbage there as he does on TruthSocial. Still, if he could somehow stick to it, the above message is capable of winning him the election. Kamala Harris is a talentless radical who, despite the press’s attempt to turn her into a charismatic outsider, is currently the vice president in what has been described from the start as the “Biden-Harris administration.” That administration is not popular, and, far from representing a break from its approach, Harris would turn its dial up to eleven. “Are you better off now?” is a winning question. If Trump is smart, he’ll ask nothing else between now and November 5, and, in so doing, he’ll turn Harris’s own declaration — “We can’t go back” — into a real liability.
