Andy – I thought Hayden was really exceptional yesterday as well. My only complaint amounted to sour grapes: Why the hell wasn’t the Bush administration better at making arguments like this when they were still running things? The failure of the Bush White House to more aggressively defend itself was one of the great examples of political malpractice in my lifetime. It’s not that they didn’t try, but they didn’t try nearly enough.
