That was Bill Hemmer’s opening question to House Speaker John Boehner this morning. “I think it was the first big step forward,” Boehner replied. “This isn’t perfect. This isn’t everything that I wanted, by a long shot. But I do believe that it is the first step in what is going to be a lot of steps if we are going to fix our fiscal crisis in Washington.”
