Yes, she should be in jail. She was a teacher involved with a 14 year old. And I can’t believe that a boy won’t be screwed up by such an encounter. Yes, it’s different than a girl. There’s a reason a son gets to go out alone before a daughter and stay out later, etc.– they are more vulnerable, they are different. I get that. But what Debra LaFave did is still a bad thing and a crime. Even if she’s gorgeous, it’s still creepy for a grown woman to be having sex with a minor (and most 14-year-olds are clearly children ) and wrong.
