Cruz: NBC, CNN Hillary Movies Will ‘Be Released on Valentine’s Day’

Ames, Iowa — Ted Cruz declined to take a position on whether the Republican National Committe is right to boycott NBC and CNN for primary debates if the networks go ahead with their plans to air movies on Hillary Clinton, but made it clear he anticipated such movies would be biased.

I don’t think anybody is surprsised to discover that the mainstream media are in love with Hillary Clinton,” Cruz told reporters after delivering a speech at the Family Leader Summit. “I would expect both of those movies to be released on Valentine’s Day. That is her base.”

“No sentient person belives those movies are going to be anything other than hagiographies,” he added. “I expect the central debate in those movies to be whether she is eligible for sainthood or if she can only be named a saint posthumously.”

But ultimately, he concluded, the decision on whether to boycott or not should be left up to RNC chairman Reince Priebus.

“At the end of the day, if Hillary Clinton chooses to run for president, she is going to find hosannas from the mainstream media,” Cruz said.
