Cruz Blasts ‘Defeatist Attitude’ in Senate

Ted Cruz lamented many of his Republican colleagues’ “defeatist attitude” on defunding Obamacare in a radio interview with Rush Limbaugh just an hour after leaving the Senate floor. “If you had to sit through one Senate lunch, you’d be in therapy for a month,” the Texas senator told Limbaugh.

“We don’t even talk about how to win a fight,” Cruz said. He criticized “scared” Republicans for taking “empty, symbolic votes” on difficult issues, such as on including defunding of the health-care law in the continuing resolution.

“The central issue is the longstanding problem of Washington is not listening to the people,” he added.
