Collins: DADT Repeal Faces an ‘Uphill Climb’

Washington — As Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pushes for a stand-alone vote to repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ in the lame-duck session, Sen. Susan Collins (R., Me.) tells NRO that she is reaching out to Republican senators Scott Brown (Mass.) and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) — both of whom support repeal but voted against cloture on the defense-authorization bill earlier today.

Collins tells us that despite being given a second chance to address the issue, repeal still faces an “uphill climb.”
