I just saw Geraldo Rivera on the Fox channel say that if it hadn’t been for the Lewinsky scandal (i.e., Rivera’s previous remarks implied, by the diversion of federal law-enforcement resources into the investigation of Bill Clinton’s perjury), we might have caught Osama bin Laden right then.
