The Claremont Institute’s site has just posted an open letter from John Fonte to “conservative” Tamar Jacoby, taking her to task for her role as a spokesman for the McCain-Kennedy amnesty and for her support of “tempered multiculturalism” and dual citizenship. He ends this way: “American citizens of Mexican descent are Americans, pure and simple. If you and other McCain-Kennedy supporters are serious about the integrity of American citizenship, you ought to tell President Fox and his government exactly that, while joining others who insist upon cracking down on the growing phenomenon of dual allegiances.”
