Checking in on President Biden’s Schedule . . .

President Biden did not give any formal on-camera remarks about U.S. airstrikes against the Houthis last month. He did not give any formal on-camera remarks about the U.S. airstrikes against Iranian proxy groups in Iraq and Syria that began Friday. For the second straight year, Biden will not participate in the traditional pre–Super Bowl interview.

In recent days, Biden has appeared at campaign events in Warren, Mich., and Philadelphia, as well as a campaign fundraiser at George Lucas’s house in Bel Air, Calif., and a campaign event and fundraiser in Nevada. He has no public events on his schedule today.

Defenders of the 81-year-old president will insist that everything is fine, that the choice to skip traditional national addresses and interviews is a deliberate communication strategy and not further evidence that Biden’s team does not trust him when he doesn’t have a teleprompter in front of him, or is facing questions in a formal environment.
