Cheap Shot, Andy

That’s nonsense, Andy, and you know it. The first two represent no government, and, therefore, fall into a different category. As for the third of those murderers (Mullah Omar), when he was Afghanistan’s leader, even after 9/11, we *were* clearly prepared to sit down with him (so long as he was prepared to hand over bin Laden and the others).

Diplomacy often involves dealing with those regimes opposed to us. Sure, that can be mucky, but so what? Refusing to recognize that fact isn’t foreign policy, it’s a hissy fit.

Oh yes. Spare me any observations on the lines that the regimes running Iran and Syria are thoroughly despicable and totally untrustworthy. I know that.
