Charlie’s Picks for NFL Conference Championship Weekend

I’m a little later to the party than Phil and Andy, but I’m here under the wire. This is where it gets difficult . . .

Chiefs @ Ravens
With the two games I’ve got wrong since we started doing this (one in the wild card round, one last week), I ignored my gut in favor of my head. On paper, I thought both the Bills and Eagles were going to win, but, when I wrote each of those predictions down, something gnawed at me and told me that the Chiefs and Buccs were going to beat them anyway. I didn’t listen. This time, I’m going to. My head says the Chiefs will win. My gut says the Ravens will. Prediction: Ravens.

Lions @ 49ers
I’m rooting hard for the Lions once again, as I think most Americans are. But I think their fairy tale run ends here. I’ve been telling people from the beginning of the year that the 49ers were going to make the Super Bowl, and I still think that. They’re just stacked, from top to bottom, and they can usually pull out a win when they need to. It’ll be a good game, but not a surprise result. Prediction: 49ers.
