GDP is expected to fall 5.6 percent this year, driven by a huge decline this quarter, and to grow 2.8 percent next year — which wouldn’t put it back to where it started. Perhaps the most worrisome prediction is of 9.5 percent unemployment at the end of 2021.
Let’s hope for and work toward a better recovery than that.
