Bear with me for one more headline: “Play about Judy Garland to come to Broadway.” (Story here.) I’m thinking: Where will they get an audience?

P.S. One of the most illustrious residents of Salzburg, where I’ve been staying for a while, is Donald Kahn. He and his wife Jeanne have lived here, and elsewhere, for years. They are great benefactors of the festival, and of the arts in general. Austrian violinist Benjamin Schmid plays on a Stradivarius called the “Lady Jeanne.” Anyway, Donald is encyclopedic on Broadway, as well as other things. Once upon a time, his uncle, Walter Annenberg, dated Ethel Merman. How ’bout that?
