He offers a serious exposition of the actual black liberation theology — as opposed to politics — upon which Wright relies. He points out that its relation to mainstream or traditional Christianity is somewhere beyond dubious. (He also shares my view that Obama was probably in that particular church for reasons related more closely to political ambition than to any particular religious conviction.) No one is better on this.
