Supreme Court Grants Review of Ninth Circuit Vagrancy Ruling

Well, that was quick!

When I wrote yesterday that the Supreme Court “will have to clean up … soon” the “mess” that the Ninth Circuit has created by its series of zany Eighth Amendment rulings against anti-vagrancy statutes, I did not have in mind that a petition for certiorari on the Ninth Circuit’s second ruling in its series, Johnson v. City of Grants Pass (subject of this post of mine from over a year ago), was pending before the Court for action. Today the Court granted review of the ruling.
