Vice President Biden is giving a speech at Georgetown law school this morning (indeed, right now, I think) on the Scalia vacancy. From a mass email that I just received from him, it’s clear that he’s going to repeat his insipid claim about the Senate’s supposed constitutional duty to hold a hearing and have an up-or-down vote on a Supreme Court nomination, and he is going to try to run away from his own previous threat, when the shoe was on the other foot, to have Senate Democrats take exactly the course that Senate Republicans are now following.
