Bernie Sanders says we need to “end the horrific war in Gaza” and “bring home the hostages” — but he doesn’t mention that the hostages are Israeli. A truly sick individual.
“We must end this horrific war in Gaza, bring home the hostages, and demand an immediate ceasefire,” Bernie Sanders declares to the eruption of a crowd. There was clearly some pent-up demand for that message, which the speakers on Day One of the DNC prudently declined to satisfy. Sanders has never been one for circumspection.
After Ana Navarro attacked the idea of Kamala Harris being a communist, Democrats send socialist Bernie Sanders up there to tout all of the socialist policies advanced by the Biden-Harris administration.
Bernie Sanders touts the $1,400 stimulus in the American Rescue Plan, which the Federal Reserve estimated in 2022 “contributed to an increase in inflation of about 2.5 percentage points.”

A lot of elected officials, getting their big moment at the convention in prime time, have a dispiriting tendency to turn in their usual stump speech. Bernie Sanders’ current remarks are the same thing you’ve heard from him in his 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns — “Too many of our fellow Americans are struggling every day to just get by – to put food on the table, pay the rent, or get the health care they need.” (Way to talk up the Biden economy there, Bernie.) He hasn’t used his trademark “the millyunayhs and billyunayhs and the big banks,” but he did denounce “the millynauh class.” I suppose I shouldn’t expect one of the few lawmakers older than Joe Biden to change anything up, but it really does feel like a shouting rerun from previous years.
Looking forward to hearing Bernie condemn South American communism as Ana Navarro did.
The convention is playing its attempt at a Kamala Harris vs. Trump “compare and contrast on the issues” video, which would work a lot better were the audio not so comically, transparently stitched together — at times word for word, clause for clause — from countless separate appearances like the skin of Frankenstein’s monster.
Chuck Schumer has very little credibility talking about antisemitism having given cover to the explosive rise of Jew hatred within his own party. At the DNC, Jews have to plan events in non-disclosed locations around town for their own safety. That’s Schumer’s Democratic Party.
“As the highest ranking Jewish elected official in American history, I want my grandkids and all grandkids to never, never face discrimination because of who they are,” Chuck Schumer insists. But who is doing the discriminating, especially against Jews, Mr. Majority Leader? Trump, of course. That’s why Schumer – who, he would remind you, is Jewish – stands against non-specific hate in all its forms: for no particular reason.
