“The hardest working president in American history is Donald J. Trump!” Burgum declares. Really? You don’t think George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt or any others might have a stronger claim to that title?

Doug Burgum’s all-too-brief moment in the sun, on night three of the convention. An amiable, vanilla personality, even-tempered, rational arguments delivered a slightly nasal North Dakotan twang, the long face of a founding father… you could have had this, America. But no, you spurned Burgum-mania and went with the other guy.

“Biden’s green agenda feels like it was written by China, Russia, and Iran,” says North Dakota Governor and former presidential candidate Doug Burgum. “Biden’s policies are making Russia and Iran filthy rich, and they’re using that money to fund wars and terrorism against our allies.”

Milwaukee — Leftist anti-abortion protesters from the group Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) were the center of attention outside the security checkpoint on Wednesday night. Using a bullhorn, a flapping pride-flag fan, and wearing a kippah, the primary activist excoriated the crowd for their complicity in the deaths of the unborn. Onlookers were audible in their displeasure at the scene. thinking the activists a false flag effort to troll Republicans.

The crowd at the RNC erupts when Texas Governor Greg Abbott touts his own efforts to bus border crossers to Northern cities. He deserves a victory lap. That program was a remarkable political coup, which, for pennies on the dollar, managed to compel the mayors of Chicago, New York, and Washington D.C. to give voice to all the same complaints about illegal immigration frontline state governors have been making for years.

Greg Abbott says, “On Nov 5, Joe Biden will be fired.” Given the pace at which things are happening among Democrats, it’s possible lines such as these will be outdated pretty soon. One wrinkle in the whole “boot Biden” talk is that if he goes after the RNC is over, Republicans will have spent their convention messaging about the wrong opponent.

Greg Abbott is comparing Trump’s border vs. Biden’s . . . it ends up being almost entirely about how tough Greg Abbott is.

Meanwhile…as they say in the comics, ABC is reporting that Chuck Schumer told Biden that Dems and the country would be better off if he dropped out, and CNN is reporting that Biden has been more “receptive” to the idea privately (asking questions such as whether Kamala Harris can win rather than saying that she cannot).

Milwaukee — Parked along the curb near the protest zone, a van displays phalluses in distress as a warning against the allegedly body-destroying effects of drug use.

Milwaukee — A young woman and her companion stand at the entrance to RNC security Wednesday night to draw attention to those who’ve died from overdose. Her mother died of opioid abuse last year. Their organization, Trail of Truth, seeks to memorialize the dead — 100,000/yr since 2020.
