Joe Biden just insisted that he is the first president this decade to not oversee the deaths of U.S. troops overseas under his watch. Three U.S. soldiers were killed in a Shiite militia attack on a base in Jordan in January. That’s an egregious lapse.
Trump: “Am I allowed to respond to him?” Tapper: “You can do whatever you want.”
This is why they scheduled the debate so early. Biden looks bad, and they want people to forget about it.
Biden sounds half-dead, whereas Trump merely sounds sedated.
Well, at least we settled one thing — Biden doesn’t look like somebody on performance enhancing drugs.
Joe Biden looks awful. He sounds awful. He cannot moderate the tempo of his speech so that he’s generally unintelligible. This is not what Democrats wanted to see at the outset of this debate.
Biden’s voice is gone. He already sounds foggy and weak. This is an inauspicious start.
Kicking off your first response with a cough isn’t a great look.
