President Biden and Donald Trump meet for their first presidential debate of 2024 tonight in Atlanta. CNN is hosting and moderating the event (click here to read about the debate rules), which is one of only two debates currently scheduled between the presumptive nominees of their respective parties. Biden is just incoherent. We are witnessing what happens when you have a media that act as a Praetorian Guard with nonsense about how he is sharp as a tack. Democrats are now saddled with somebody that clearly cannot handle the job. And let’s all keep in mind — he is running to be president for another four and a half years.

Biden claims no terrorists have crossed the border under his watch. Earlier this month, ICE arrested eight ISIS-K-linked Tajikistani nationals in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia. (https://www.nationalreview.com/news/ice-arrests-eight-foreign-nationals-with-suspected-ties-to-isis/)

These side-by-side shots showing the president staring blankly, mouth hanging open, are just terrible for Biden.

Jeffrey Blehar

Oh dear, Biden’s response on immigration – repeating his words, haltingly, omitting clauses, slurring words. I can’t keep pointing this out all night, can I?

Audrey Fahlberg

There we go — Trump took a swipe at Biden’s mumbling. I wouldn’t be surprised if he looks straight at the camera soon and says something along the lines of: “We can all see what’s going on here. This guy is no longer fit to serve.”

Rich Lowry

Trump has his crispest answer of the night on the border.

Now every journalist in the world wants to know who “Brandon” is.

Noah Rothman

“I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence,” Trump said in response to a variety of words from the president presumably related to border security. “I don’t think he knows what he said either.”

Haley Strack

I spoke too soon… Trump, after Biden finished talking about the wide-open southern border: “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence . . . I don’t think he knows what he said, either.”

Luther Ray Abel

“I don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence — I don’t think he knows either.”

-Trump about Biden’s border conclusion

I’m inclined to agree.
