That was…. kinda a weird way to phrase that, Mr. Pence.

Jeff, with you on that. Spoke with the seriousness of a father.

Kathryn Jean Lopez

Could we just give up and keep listening to old Reagan speeches?

Jeffrey Blehar

I’m a known non-fan of Vivek Ramaswamy, but I don’t mind for one moment him taking the moment here from the specific parental notification issue to haul off about emerging transgender political ideology in general. He may be reciting talking points, but the talking points are not wrong.

Kathryn Jean Lopez

Genital mutilation is a state’s issue? North Dakota, you’re killing me. We’re not all North Dakota.

Rich Lowry

Scott is wrong about the FLA curriculum but otherwise a stirring answer—maybe best moment of the two debates

Dan McLaughlin

Well, now we’re getting some Reagan love, led by DeSantis talking about the Farewell Address but also including Scott talking about the shining city on the hill.

Kathryn Jean Lopez

Grateful for Tim Scott talking about the amazing things single mothers are capable of and the need for men to take fatherhood seriously.

Jim Geraghty

We’re now roughly an hour in, once you discount the introductions. Does anybody feel like any candidate on stage has peeled away any Trump supporters from Trump yet? Yeah, me neither.

Kathryn Jean Lopez

Jack, not as ancient history as Rudy Giuliani as mayor of NY. Our interns don’t even believe he changed the city.
