Gordon Smith Endorses Romney

Former senator Gordon Smith (R., Ore.) has endorsed Mitt Romney for president. In a press release, Smith says:

It has been nearly three years since President Obama took office and it is clear that his policies have not worked for Oregon or the country. Mitt Romney has a proven job creation record as governor and in the private sector. It is time we put someone in the White House who understands how the economy works and how this country’s economy can get moving again.

In 2008, Smith lost his reelection bid to Jeff Merkley. Currently, Smith is president and the CEO of National Association of Broadcasters.
