Bachmann: ‘Devastating’ Miscarriage Reinforced Pro-Life Position

In a town hall in Rock Hill, S.C. last night, Michele Bachmann talked about how she had changed her life after a miscarriage.

According to CNN, Bachmann described the miscarriage, which occurred after she had had her first two children as “devastating” to both her and her husband.

“At that moment, we didn’t think of ourselves as overly career-minded or overly materialistic, but when we lost that child, it changed us, and it changed us forever,” Bachmann said, noting that the change had lead her to take in 23 foster children.

“We made a commitment that no matter how many children were brought into our life, we would receive them because we are committed to life,” she told the crowd.
