Nearly 30,000 Nevada voters cast their ballots this weekend in Clark County. 47 percent were Democrats; 38 percent were Republicans.
In percentage of total voter registration, this weekend’s numbers represent 4.1 percent of Democrats and 4.6 percent of Republicans.
When absentee ballots are added, the turnout relative to registration was Democrats, 5.3 percent, and Republicans, 6.2 percent.
Democrats have a significant (13 percent) registration edge in Clark County.
In Washoe, Nevada’s second most populous county, the totals were Democrats, 3.1 percent. and Republicans, 3.7 percent.
