Newest West Virginia Attack Ad

West Virginia Democrat senate candidate Gov. Joe Manchin has released a new ad, “Priorities,” that paints GOP senate candidate John Raese as a businessman who puts profits over people.  Asking “what are John Raese’s priorities?” the ad then cuts to a clip of Raese saying “I’m in the business of not providing jobs. I’m in the business of making money.” Watch it here:

Manchin also received an endorsement from the West Virginia Coal Association today. According to the Associated Press, the association also called Raese’s ads’ depictions of Manchin’s coal-related policies dishonest.

And on the libertarian Cato Institute’s report card on governors released today, Manchin received an “A.” He’s one of only four governors to get the highest grade.
